Hurtu Sewing Machines
From humble beginnings in 1861 making leather machines, Hurtu evolved into one of France's premier sewing machine manufacturers before diversifying into automobiles and becoming part of a national French sewing machine combine.
Hurtu Diligeon Freearm Sewing Machine
This innovative mid-1880s Hurtu Diligeon freearm sewing machine featured a clever convertible design, allowing transformation from freearm to platform model by sliding a wooden table around the arm.
la Moderne Vibrating Shuttle Sewing Machine Tradecard
This beautifully preserved early 1900s trade card showcases Hurtu's elegant "la Moderne" vibrating shuttle sewing machine, representing one of the final designs before production ceased in 1907.
