The Nasch Sewing machine Company
Nasch’s patent (9817) 1887
Isidore Nasch was a wholesale importer of sewing machines in London. His range included specialist industrial machines and he took out British patents for such machines on behalf of their German manufacturers. In 1887 he took out a patent (9897) for a tiny lockstitch machine to clamp to the edge of the table. Alongside it was a patent for a chainstitch version. Examples of both versions exist in Germany.
