"Scrolls & Roses"
There are several combinations of various scrolls on the arm with large or small roses on the bedplate. Not in any particular order.
Roses & Scrolls variant (a)
VS2 (1888) - scrolls without flowers on the arm and large roses on bed.
VS2 (1888) rear. The edge transfer on the bed comprises asymetric scrolls.
VS2 (1888) - bed detail: four closely arranged roses
Roses & Scrolls variant (b)
12K (18--) bed detail: two roses and other flowers.
Roses & Scrolls variant (c)
28K (1894) Arm decal has a central flower. Small roses on bed. Edge transfer
28K (1892) with different roses on the bed.
Roses & Scrolls variant (d)
Scrolls and Roses revived for the twentieth century. These were presumably for export (Clydebank collection).
