Singer Featherweight Feeddog Cover

Featherweight Sewing Machine Feeddog Cover

 

The featherweight feeddog cover (Simanco part # 121309) is relatively uncommon as compared to other Singer attachments. The hole on the left goes over the needle/thread hole, and the raised area around it covers the feeddogs. The indention just to the right fits into an oil hole on the machine and helps hold the cover in place. The hole on the far right is for the screw that screws into the machine bed and holds the cover securely. The original screw is black and has a flat head. However, you can easily use a buttonholer throatplate screw to hold this cover in place. It's a very nice thing to have if you plan on doing any free motion work on your featherweight.
